So What Is 'Hybrid' In Scrapbooking Terms?
Quite simply Hybrid Scrapbooking is a mix of both paper scrapbooking and digitally generated images that have been designed with scrapbooking in mind. When creating the 'Hybrid' way, you would use patterned paper and your usual supplies combined with printed out digital elements.
How Do I Go About It?
Using creative mixes of your Kits, usual scrapbook supplies, favourite techniques and ideas along with printed out elements. Simply 'cut and stick' to your hearts content!.
What Do I Need?
Depending on what level you want to get involved at, the basic tools needed will probably just be your printer and paper! As you get more interested in the possibilites that Hybrid Scrapbooking can bring and wish to explore it a little deeper you may require a good photo editing software package such as Photoshop Elements.
GoGo Hybrid Packages:
ScrapaGoGo is aware that the whole term 'Hybrid' can be off putting to some people so we have made sure everyone can access this new Grab It element by offering this package in three different versions - free except pre printed!
1) Printed Version - We will print out and provide within your Kit, 3 sheets of Exclusive Images, bespoke designed for each month. Ideal for those of you that simply want to cut out and use the images without any fuss. Price £3.75.
2) JPG- Each month we will give you a link to 3 JPG documents that can be printed out, as they are, straight onto A4 paper, card, photo paper etc. Great for those of you that would like to experiment with different mediums, but like the simplicity of the images being formatted onto A4 sheets so you can simply click on print and go!
3) PNG - Full Digi - Each month we will give you a link to a zipped file containing all the images designed for that month as PNG files. For those of you that are experienced in photo editing software and wish to have the full functions that PNG files give. FOC from August 2009 Kit.
Hints & Tips
If printing out at home, make sure that your settings on your printer are set to print out 'Best Quality' - a little heavier on ink usage but necessary to ensure fantastic results.
If printing onto other mediums such as photo paper, transparency sheets, printable canvas etc please refer to your printer guidelines for settings.
If you are cutting out the finer, more detailed elements use scissors and/or craft knife that are designed for cutting out fine designs.
Layer or mount cut outs onto coordinating cardstock to make them 'pop' on your design, the use of 3D foam pads is another way to add the elements to your designs
